Turmeric Rice

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Butter

1⁄2 Onion, chopped

4 Cloves Garlic, minced

1 cup Jasmine or Basmati Rice, rinsed

1 tablespoon Turmeric

1 1⁄2 cups Chicken Broth

1 Bay Leaf, dried

2 sprigs fresh Thyme or ¼ teaspoon dried Thyme

Salt and Pepper

Instructions

Melt 1 tbsp butter in saucepan, add onion and garlic, cook until softened.

Add rice and turmeric; stir to coat.

Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil, cover and simmer until cooked, about 17-20 minutes.

Stir in remaining butter, remove bay leaf and thyme springs, serve.
